GRS continues long term partnership with Rowland Homes at Royal Gardens, Bispham

GRS REAPPOINTED BY ROWLAND HOMES FOR MULTI-PHASE INFRASTRUCTURE AT ROYAL GARDENS

GRS Contractors has been appointed by Rowland Homes to deliver Phases 3 and 4 of Royal Gardens in Bispham—further cementing a long-standing working relationship between the two businesses. Having successfully completed earlier phases of the project, GRS has been brought back to deliver a comprehensive package of roads, sewers, and earthworks.

A Relationship Built on Consistency

Being invited back to a major development is the ultimate validation in civil engineering. For GRS, the reappointment at Royal Gardens says everything about the technical trust and operational rhythm built with Rowland Homes over several years.

Paul Rowley, Owner of Rowland Homes, noted that the decision to bring GRS back for the next stages of the 1,300-home masterplan was an easy one based on their previous performance.

"GRS have been an integral part of Royal Gardens from the outset. They understand how we work, they deliver to programme, and they have the technical capability to handle complex infrastructure. That consistency and reliability is exactly what you need from a civils partner." – George Rowley, Managing Director of Rowland Homes

Technical Infrastructure at Scale

The scope for Phases 3 and 4 involves a significant heavy-drainage package and highway construction. Works currently underway include the installation of 72 metres of 900mm diameter stormwater pipework, alongside 290 metres of secondary stormwater infrastructure ranging from 300mm to 525mm.

In addition to the drainage network, GRS is delivering 2,350 square metres of new road construction. To ensure the project remains on track, the team has also engineered a temporary haul road to access Phase 4 on the adjacent field, enabling vital infrastructure works to proceed without interrupting the wider site programme.

Delivering the Foundations for Growth

"Rowland Homes are a housebuilder we know well and have a great deal of respect for," said Tom Keane, Managing Director at GRS. "We are proud to be the team they turn to when there’s infrastructure to deliver. We’re looking forward to seeing this community continue to take shape."

This project in Bispham sits alongside GRS’s other live works for Rowland Homes, including a full package offering at the Highfield Manor scheme in Haydock.
