GRS puts more black top down at Royal Gardens, Bispham

GRS Contractors has laid a fresh run of road surfacing at Royal Gardens in Bispham, near Blackpool, as it pushes on with the roads and sewers package for Rowland Homes. 

GRS are moving well on Bispham in the next phase of works.

Roads go in before the homes do. Once the road is surfaced, the trades and deliveries that follow have a firm, safe way onto the site and that's just the way we want it for a contractor like us that works at pace.

Rowland Homes brought GRS back to deliver Phases 3 and 4 of the scheme after the team completed the earlier phases. 

The package includes 2,350 square metres of new road, along with stormwater and foul drainage running beneath it. 

The drone went up first thing on 25 September, before any boot or machine had crossed the new surface. At the front of the site, the Rowland Homes marketing suite is already open to buyers and already the housebuilder has welcomed families to the development, with the first phases already established and delivered the GRS way. 

Tom Keane, Owner and Managing Director of GRS Contractors, said: “Rowland Homes brought us back for Phases 3 and 4 because we’d delivered the earlier ones. Every stretch of road we finish is more of the site they can build on, and the lads have done a proper job here.” 

Work continues on the remaining roads and sewers across Phases 3 and 4. GRS is also working for Rowland Homes at Haydock and Chadderton.
