GRS Civil Engineers back grassroots football and the lads make it to Old Trafford

When GRS Civil Engineers signed up to sponsor Formby Community Football Club, they did it because they believe in investing in the communities they work in.
This weekend, that investment paid off in the best possible way.
FCFC's youth team (orange) were given the opportunity to visit Old Trafford for a tournament in the Theatre of Dreams. The boys walked the same corridors, tunnels and dressing rooms as some of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen.
Wayne Rooney. Cristiano Ronaldo. Bruno Fernandes. Kobbie Mainoo. The names that have graced that dressing room are the stuff of football legend.
On this occasion, it was a group of young footballers from the North West - GRS badges on their chests - who got to stand on that hallowed turf and feel what it's like to be part of a massive football club.
At GRS Civil Engineers, social value isn't a line in a tender document. It's a commitment to the communities where the business operates and the people who live in them.
Grassroots football gives young people structure, teamwork, discipline and ambition. It gives communities a focal point. It gives clubs the resources to keep going.
GRS' sponsorship reflects the same values the business brings to every scheme it delivers: showing up, doing the right thing, and leaving something behind that lasts.
GRS Civil Engineers deliver roads, sewers, earthworks and infrastructure across the North West. The schemes they deliver create the physical foundations on which communities are built.

The lads did themselves and GRS proud at Old Trafford. The GRS name was on their shirts in the home team tunnel, in the dressing room, and out on the pitch.
That's exactly where it should be.
Tom Keane, MD and Owner of GRS, said: "We're really proud of all the lads that went to Old Trafford. The represented themselves, their club and of course GRS with pride. We are proud of every single one of them."
